Foafer is an extension for firefox that will display foaf data in a formatted way within the browser itself. It works by autodiscovery of FOAF (even livejournal style) files linked into webpages and if one is found the icon in your statusbar will light up and it will automatically load the foaf file and display it. To turn off the profile display, simply click the "x" in the upper right corner.
